Cake

  • Devil’s Food Cake Mix 1 Package (18.25 oz)
  • Water 1 1/3 Cups
  • Vegetable Oil 1/2 Cup
  • Eggs 3
  • Cherry Pie Filling 1 Can (16 oz)

Topping

  • Heavy Whipping Cream 1 Cup
  • Confectioners’ Sugar 2 Tablespoons
  • Chocolate Curls
  • Cherries

Prevent your screen from going dark as you follow along.

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray two 9\” round pans with vegetable pan spray.
  2. Prepare cake batter according to package directions using water, oil and eggs. Divide batter between two pans.
  3. Bake 25-30 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans and cool completely.
  4. Whip cream with confectioners’ sugar. Place one cake layer on cake circle or serving plate. Spread half the whipped cream on top; add layer of cherries. Add second cake layer; press gently. Spread remaining whipped cream on top; sprinkle chocolate curls in center and add remaining cherries.
  5. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
